Heathrow to Lilongwe via Addis Ababa

Sometimes stops Rome to drop/pick up

2. KENYA AIRLINES
Direct from Heathrow 4 to Nairobi then change
for Lilongwe.

23 (30?) kilos checked in baggage, 10 kilos hand
baggage.

at Nairobi Airport
even if you are travelling Economy Class.
This route very handy if you want to
stopover in Kenya in either/both directions.
3. KLM DUTCH AIRLINES
From Heathrow Terminal 4 via Amsterdam to
Nairobi then
connecting flight to Lilongwe.
Allow 23 kilos Check in baggage, 10 kilos hand baggage.
This route very handy if you want to stopover in Kenya in either/both directions.

4. SOUTH AFRICAN AIRWAYS - From Heathrow Terminal 1 to Johannesburg for
onward connection
to Blantyre or Lilongwe.
Allow 23 kilos + 6 kilos hand baggage.
notes:
Usually good
connection in Johannesburg.
Option of unofficial upgrade to somewhat better seats in Economy class.
Discuss

Daily flights to Johannesburg, connects through to
Blantyre twice a week.
For through connection depart Heathrow Tuesdays & Fridays.
Return departure Blantyre Wednesdays & Saturdays.
Usually more expensive than the Nairobi
route with exceptions!
5. LUFTHANSA GERMAN
AIRLINES from some regional UK airports through Frankfurt,
change at Johannesburg through to Blantyre. Usually out Wed and return departure
Saturdays. Good fare. Call MIKE COLES TRAVEL for further detail.
6. ANY AIRLINE TO
JOHANNESBURG -
then separate flight from Johannesburg to Lilongwe or Blantyre
notes:
Can be a competitive
fare to Johannesburg but then have to add on the extra
fare
between Johannesburg to Malawi.
Very handy if you want to stopover in South Africa
Be sure of connections in Johannesburg
as using separate airlines may not guarantee
through connections.

AIRWAYS stopped their through/code share flight with AIR MALAWI from December
2005 owing to unreliability and frequent schedule changes of AIR MALAWI.

Malawi frequently change their timings with very little notice!

Nairobi Airport, if
you are travelling Economy class - see at

First Class Lounges at Nairobi, 1 has a shower and the
