The Gospel of the good Samaritan Luke 10:25-37

Ruin
A man
goes from Jerusalem, the city of blessing down to
Jericho, a city under a curse. Luke 10:30
He is
robbed, beaten and left for dead. The work of the devil:
John 10:10 (NIV) 'The thief comes only to steal and
kill and destroy. I have come so they can have life. I
want them to have it in the fullest possible way.'

Religion
The priest and the Levite know the rules, and keep
the law but outward religion cannot save. Luke 10:
31,32

Redeemer
An
outsider (the good Samaritan) , despised and rejected
comes to save. See Isaiah 53. Luke 10:33

Remedy
Oil
and wine-the great symbols of the Holy Spirit. Luke
10:34.

Recovery
He
was cared for and restored to health. Luke 10:34.
